The Staff Team

The Staff team will be headed by the Registered Care Manager who will be responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of the staff, so that they are equipped to provide a high quality service to meet the individual assessed needs of the clients.

Staff will undergo all “ Fitness “ checks prior to employment so that clients are protected. Induction training will mean that no staff member can work independently until assessed as capable by a member of the management team.

Regular supervision of staff will ensure they are meeting the requirements of their role and responsibility. It will be used to make sure staff feel supported and it will be an arena where they can share their concerns and discuss any problems. Supervision will be used as a tool to identify individual training and development needs, with access to specific training so that the workforce are up to date and equipped to undertake their specific roles. The Care Standards Regulations insist 50% of staff should have achieved their NVQ 2 by 2008.

Our Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for monitoring the service we provide, also for monitoring our support workers, and is answerable to the Care Manager.

The Support Workers will always carry photographic identification, so that you are protected. If at any time there may be a delay or the visit cannot go ahead you will be informed by the office, and provided with the name of the support worker who will be taking the place of another.
